Important dates for your diary!

5:00pm Monday 9th May, 2016 – Speaker requirements portal deadline

Please complete your details in the speaker’s requirements portal by the deadline above.  This portal is where you should log all preferences including any audio or visual requirements, dietary needs, your moderator introduction and questions for the moderator to ask following your presentation. If you haven’t already, please click on the portal link in your welcome email to submit or update your details.

5:00pm Monday 24th May, 2016 – Presentation submission deadline

All speakers must submit their powerpoint presentation slides, hand outs and media files by the above deadline. Please Click here to download the compulsory template to begin creating your presentation. Your presentation slides and any other files must be emailed directly to Lauretta Williams. If you have any issues submitting your presentation or any concerns about meeting this deadline, please let the Lauretta know as soon as possible. If you make any minor changes to your presentation after this deadline, you will need to re submit your presentation.

5:00pm Monday 6th June, 2016 – Final changes to presentation deadline

Any changes to your presentation will be accepted up until 5:00pm Monday 6th June. If you make any minor changes to your presentation after this date, you will need to speak with Lauretta Williams.

Conference program

Conference presentations have been allocated 25 minutes, unless you have been notified otherwise. Please check your welcome email for you allocated time slot, or double check your time slot by viewing the conference program online.

Please Click here to download the official Comms Connect Sydney power point. Please ensure you use this template as requested  as it is the correct aspect ratio (16:9) to best suit the AV equipment at Sydney Olympic Park. You will need to fill in the title of your presentation, your name, and company on the slide provided. Please feel free to add your company logo to the content slides.

How to submit your presentation

Your Powerpoint presentation (along with any video or sound files) must be submitted in advance of the conference as all content will be checked for suitability and to ensure your technical requirements can be met. Please submit your presentation file(s) before 5:00pm Monday 23rd May to Lauretta Williams.

Arriving on the day

The conference will be held in the Southee Complex, Hall 5 at Sydney Olympic Park. On your arrival at the conference please make yourself known to the registration desk where we will have a name badge ready for you. Please ensure you arrive at the conference during the break before you present at the latest. There will be a speaker’s room where you can prepare for your presentation. You will be allocated a speaker liaison who’s contact details will be in the back of your badge. If you are running late or are having difficulties meeting up with you liaison, please either text or call them.

Please ensure you meet with your allocated speaker liaison during the break before you present so you have enough time to be walked through the AV system and ensure your presentation is working correctly with any videos or sound.

Public Transport to Sydney Olympic Park

Parking

Casual parking is generally available for $5.00 per hour or a flat rate of $25 per day (maximum). The closest parking station to the venue is either P1 or P6, keep an eye out for the signs as you drive into Sydney Olympic park. Comms Connect Sydney has organised accommodation through Show Group. Please click here to access the Comms Connect website where there are further details for accommodation and travel to the conference.
